After ten weeks in the hospital, we were able to bring Rae home yesterday. She continues to suffer from migraines daily but other than that her physical health has drasticly improved. During the course of her hospital stay Rae has had four surgeries and has recovered from each in record time. She is able to speak clearly, she recognizes us and has no problem being her bossy usual self. Rae has also gained feeling back in her legs. A major plus. Feeling in the legs is the first step to walking again. The girls lavish their mother with love and attention, assisting her in just about everything. Her current means of transportation: a set of crutches and a well-rounded wheel chair. Yes, she is allowed on her leg (under supervision)to help strengthen the damaged muscles. She starts therapy today, four hours everyday based on our scheduling. Rae is definately excited about today's session. Her sweet and positive outlook on her situation is uplifting and continues to inspire everyone around her. Elizabeth has made some definate progress in the last two months but we know behind her amazing journey there is a higher power.
Remember us in your thoughts and prayers as we continue this journey through life.
